These terms apply to The Detailing Lodge Referral Programme (“Refer & Earn”) and Affiliate Programme. By joining, participating in, or using a referral or affiliate link or code, you agree to these terms.
1. Refer & Earn Programme
Participants in our Refer & Earn Programme may receive a unique referral link to share with friends and other genuine prospective customers.
For a qualifying referral:
- The referred customer receives 11% off their qualifying order.
- The referrer earns a cash reward equal to 3% of the eligible purchase value.
- The referred customer's qualifying order must be £25 or more.
- Rewards are subject to our 14-day review period.
Referral discounts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
2. Affiliate Programme
Approved affiliates may receive a unique affiliate link and/or discount code to promote The Detailing Lodge.
For a qualifying affiliate sale:
- The referred customer receives 12% off their qualifying order.
- The affiliate earns commission equal to 5% of the eligible purchase value.
- The referred customer's qualifying order must be £15 or more.
- Affiliate commissions are subject to our 14-day review period.
Acceptance into the Affiliate Programme is at the discretion of The Detailing Lodge.
3. 14-Day Review Period
Referral rewards and affiliate commissions are subject to a 14-day review period beginning from the qualifying purchase.
During this period, we may verify that the transaction is genuine, completed and eligible for a reward or commission.
A pending reward or commission is not considered approved or payable merely because an order has been placed or a pending reward appears within the referral platform.
After successful completion of the review period, an eligible reward may proceed to payout processing.
The 14-day review period does not mean payment is guaranteed to arrive exactly 14 days after the purchase. Additional processing time may be required by ReferralCandy, PayPal or another payment provider.
4. Returns, Refunds, Cancellations & Chargebacks
No referral reward or affiliate commission is payable on an order, or part of an order, which is cancelled, refunded, returned, charged back or otherwise reversed.
If the entire qualifying order is cancelled, returned or refunded, the associated reward or commission will be cancelled.
If part of an order is returned or refunded, the reward or commission may be recalculated using the remaining eligible purchase value.
If a refund, chargeback, return or other reversal occurs after a reward has been approved or paid, The Detailing Lodge reserves the right to deduct or offset the corresponding amount against future rewards or commissions where reasonably necessary.
Nothing in these terms affects a customer's statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights.
5. Eligible Purchase Value
Referral rewards and affiliate commissions are calculated using the eligible purchase value determined by our referral/affiliate platform.
Cancelled, returned or refunded amounts do not qualify.
Delivery charges, taxes, discounts, gift cards and other amounts may be excluded from the eligible purchase value depending on how the qualifying transaction is recorded and calculated by the programme.
We reserve the right to correct genuine calculation or attribution errors.
6. Tracking & Attribution
For a reward or commission to qualify, the purchase must be successfully attributed to the participant's valid referral or affiliate link/code.
Tracking may not be successful where, for example:
- the customer does not use the appropriate referral link or code;
- the customer uses another referral, affiliate or promotional link before purchasing;
- required tracking technologies are blocked or removed; or
- the referral platform cannot reasonably attribute the transaction.
A participant is not automatically entitled to a reward solely because they believe they introduced a customer.
7. Self-Referrals & Programme Abuse
The programmes are designed to reward genuine recommendations to other customers.
The following are prohibited:
- self-referrals;
- creating or controlling multiple accounts to generate rewards;
- referring yourself using another email address, identity or account;
- fraudulent, fictitious or manipulated orders;
- deliberately placing orders with the intention of cancelling, refunding or returning them after generating a reward;
- manipulating referral tracking;
- misuse or unauthorised distribution of referral or affiliate codes;
- spam or unsolicited bulk messaging;
- misleading claims about The Detailing Lodge or our products; and
- any other attempt to artificially generate rewards, commissions or discounts.
We may investigate suspicious activity and withhold rewards while an investigation takes place.
8. Voucher & Coupon Websites
Referral and affiliate codes must not be submitted, uploaded, distributed or promoted on public voucher, coupon, discount-code or deal-aggregation websites without our prior written permission.
Rewards or commissions generated through unauthorised voucher-code distribution may be cancelled.
Repeated or deliberate misuse may result in removal from the programme.
9. Affiliate Advertising & Conduct
Affiliates must clearly disclose their affiliate relationship where required by applicable advertising and consumer-protection rules.
Affiliates must not:
- impersonate The Detailing Lodge;
- represent themselves as an employee, agent or official representative of The Detailing Lodge without permission;
- make false, misleading or unsubstantiated claims about our business or products;
- create websites, domains or social-media accounts that misleadingly appear to be operated by The Detailing Lodge; or
- run paid advertising using The Detailing Lodge's brand name, trademarks or confusingly similar terms without our prior written permission.
We may issue additional affiliate promotional guidelines from time to time.
10. Discount Use
Referral and affiliate discounts are subject to the qualifying conditions of the applicable programme.
Discounts may not be combined with other promotional codes or offers unless expressly permitted by The Detailing Lodge.
We reserve the right to reject, cancel or correct a discount applied as a result of fraud, abuse, technical error or use contrary to these terms.
11. Reward Payments
Referral and affiliate cash rewards may be administered through ReferralCandy and its supported payment providers.
Where PayPal is used, participants may need a valid PayPal account capable of receiving the payment.
Participants are responsible for providing accurate payment information.
Payment processing times after approval may vary and can be outside The Detailing Lodge's direct control.
A reward appearing as pending does not mean that it has been approved or paid.
12. Taxes
Participants are responsible for determining whether any tax is payable on referral rewards or affiliate income they receive and for meeting any applicable reporting or payment obligations.
The Detailing Lodge does not provide individual tax advice.
13. Programme Changes
The Detailing Lodge may amend the programmes from time to time, including:
- referral or affiliate reward rates;
- customer discount rates;
- minimum qualifying order values;
- eligibility requirements;
- payment methods;
- review periods; and
- programme rules.
Where reasonably practicable, changes will apply prospectively rather than removing rewards that were validly earned and approved before the change.
We may also pause, suspend or discontinue either programme.
14. Suspension or Removal
We reserve the right to suspend or remove a participant where we reasonably believe:
- these terms have been breached;
- fraudulent or abusive activity has occurred;
- the participant has misrepresented The Detailing Lodge;
- the programme is being used in a way it was not intended; or
- continued participation presents a material risk to The Detailing Lodge or the programme.
Rewards connected with fraudulent, abusive, cancelled, refunded or otherwise ineligible transactions may be withheld or cancelled.
15. Errors & Technical Issues
We reserve the right to correct genuine administrative, technical, tracking or calculation errors.
An obvious technical or pricing error does not create an entitlement to a discount, reward or commission that would not otherwise have been available under these terms.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of referral tracking, third-party platforms or payment services.
16. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable UK law.
These terms relate specifically to our Referral and Affiliate Programmes and should be read alongside The Detailing Lodge's general Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Returns Policy.
